UCSF Rosenman Institute
The Challenge
UCSF Rosenman Institute is a health tech ecosystem that grew rapidly and expanded its capabilities and audiences over the first 5 years of its existence. As a result, their website was added to “kitchen-sink style” and had lost cohesion and a clear brand identity along the way. Our client had a strong feeling that their constituents did not fully grasp the breadth and benefits of the Institute’s work.
Our Work
We took a hard look at the programs and resources that the Institute offers and how these assets are utilized and valued by their stakeholders. We leveraged interview audits and marketing research, and also conducted a deep dive with the key players at the Institute. We then produced a clear brand playbook that included positioning and messaging, core competencies, recommended structure and strategic business advice to help them attain their goals. Then, we helped bring the brand to life in a beautiful new website. Our work highlighted discrepancies in terminology, helped clarify their value, and now encourages engagement and investment from the broader health tech community.
